  • As a citizen of the U.S.A., I entered and exited via Beijing, so I needed a double-entry Chinese visa. This is the case for m

It’s no surprise that San Diego’s favorite coastal community is a popular place for destination weddings. Our mild year round climate and beautiful scenic location make La Jolla a wonderful spot to get married.
I’ve already mentioned that the La Jolla Shores Hotel and La Valencia Hotel are ideal for weddings ceremonies and receptions, as well as several other local venues.

In addition, I’ve recently learned that several of my fellow La Jollans open their homes and gardens to brides seeking very s

“It’s easy to make a buck; it’s a lot tougher to make a difference.” – Tom Brokaw. There are many volunteer opportunities out there for anyone interested in doing volunteer work, more so abroad. Where as some people go into the volunteer world for just the simple experience, some go towards it as a vocational calling, or as a stepping stone for their future careers. It is best to choose a volunteering program that will be most beneficial to you and to those that you intend to help. Here is a loo

Goldfish Point Café is one of La Jolla’s best kept secrets. The regulars – and there are many – include La Jolla Cove swimmers, who gather here for coffee and conversation after their morning workout. The young and the restless also roll in regularly with their laptops and avail themselves of the free wi-fi. Other folks choose this breezy spot for the privacy it offers and the great ocean view.

The location – uphill from The Cove at 1255 Coast Boulevard – may account for the fact that few visitor

USA is one of the most sttractive country for tourists today: http://tours-tv.com/en/united-states

It costs more to buy a new car today in the United States than it cost Christopher Columbus to equip and undertake three voyages to the New World.

During the American revolution, inflation was so great that the price of corn rose 10,000%, the price of wheat 14,000%, the price of flour 15,000%, and the price of beef 33,000%.

32% of all land in the US is owned by the federal government.

In 1796, two bro

Choosing a Cruise

James and I are in the process of choosing a cruise for December, and let me tell you, it is not easy. Due to the podcast and the website, we want to have as many cruising experiences as possible, so we can't really choose a favorite line and stick with it like most people do. (Although this will really hurt our chances at any loyalty programs) There are so many considerations that my head is spinning at this point. It is difficult to decide what priority to give each consideration. But, I will

Let’s face it: women just like to do different things, talk about different subjects, shop and have fun. Without the boys around, the girls can let their hair down, not worry about how they look or how good they are at something – quite simply, they can relax. That is why a women-only trip is chicken soup for the soul.

Trips just for women are nothing new – there are many different companies offering “adventure” or just hiking or biking trips. However there was, until now, a gap in the market fo

After a very long day of driving through some of the worst roads we've ever seen (I-86), we arrived at Monticello Casino and Raceway just before nightfall. We took a few minutes to gather ourselves and then made our way into the casino.

I-86-to-NYC-01-300x225.jpg?width=300

Hungry and very tired we made our way around the casino (looking for a lucky machine) and to the food court for a hot meal. The casino workers were very unfriendly (but we are in New York so that should be expected right?).

We ordered some potato pancakes with sour
