Cuisinart takes the Mediterranean decor + foodie themes of Anguilla and runs with them. Here, a blue-and-white (now Anguilla's marketing colors) room with the unfortunate (for the decorator, not for me) intrusion of long, pale feet.
Malliouhana created the Anguilla "brand" and even changed the definition of a Caribben resort when it opened in 1983/4. Instead of faux Colonial-style design, it was updated Mediterranean in its look. And while there were still luxury resorts in the…

Would it be wrong to say that Anguilla's abundance of drop-dead gorgeous beaches gives it an unfair advantage over some of the other islands?
FYI, this is the beach at Cap Juluca, a Belmond Hotel.
"I was in and through St. Mary's last November. No sign there of anything Mr. Bartlett is talking about, it was always mostly locally owned mid-size to small businesses and accommodation catering to the traveler. And locally owned too. So not sure…"
"The untold story here is not just the coming of a new airport terminal; it's St. Lucia's embrace of a trend throughout the Caribbean to spread travelers around each island instead of clustering resorts in just one or two hotspots (e.g. Montego Bay,…"

Hi Ed! It's almost time for me to leave for NYC for the Canal NY media lunch on Thursday. Just wanted to check to see if you're still going to be able to make it. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
You didn't get an official "welcome" that i sent out to the VOCUS list. We'll have 3 special guests/speakers -- Brian Stratton, John Callaghan, and Tom Ryan -see the message below:
Thanks so much for your interest in Canal New York’s media get-together on June 23rd at O’Casey’s Irish Pub. We’re very excited to have you as our guest!
I’m a Canal New York board member and also a writer. I’ll be handling registration and I’ll be there to tell you more about the new Fam Tours we have planned. We’re all anxious to meet you. (If you came to last year’s event, welcome back!)
We have some new features and speakers for our event – and maybe even a VIP guest. We think you’ll enjoy yourself and get some great ideas for stories in your niche.
I’ve confirmed your registration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I’m happy to help.
On behalf of the Canal New York Marketing & Business Alliance, thanks again for your participation and interest. We know you won’t be disappointed – our state is home to one of the world’s best travel treasures: The Erie, Cayuga-Seneca, Oswego & Champlain canals.
Just added to our roster:
Thomas Ryan, Chief of Staff, New York State Thruway Authority
Brian U. Stratton, Director, New York State Canal Corporation John Callaghan, Deputy Director, New York State Canal Corporation
Thanks for your feedback on my Mac Book Air review, much appreciated. The MD of the company next to mine just had a new 'Air' arrive - I don't think any other laptop would have had so many people peering around monitors and peeking up from their desks. Remarkable!
We offer both pre-designed and custom designed tours and treks. All our trips are all-inclusive packages. Travelers pay one price, and everything they need for a complete trip within Bhutan is included, leaving out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum.
Hey Ed, I do both. Currently I mostly do "step on" for other tour operators. I'm developing my own inbound/ receptive t.o. business. I want to provide everything; airport/cruiseport transfer, hotel, admission to shows & attractions, tour - either on a bus or private with guide, meals, etc. Everything but travel accomodations for people visiting NYC.
Hi David, Ed, Jose,
I think there should be a mechanism to send a message to a fellow member without becoming friends. (Your current rule is: "You and x must be friends before you can send messages. X will have to confirm your friendship.") I have had some people ignore my message, presumably because they did not want to add a friend just for a one-time conversation. Or, perhaps others wanted to message me but did not want to request friendship. Thanks, Buzzy
Hello Ed! Thanks for the update on things. Hope all is well. Yes, some great getaway deals at our Cayuga properties in Costa Rica this December! Thanks for the welcome note. Look forward to using Tripatini more! Suz
