"Yes, we´ve all been hearing that tourism here is under pressure, but there´s still some interesting insights in this deep dive into the sector: https://tourismteacher.com/tourism-in-cameroon/"
"Up on the northern coast, Oulu is Finland´s fourth largest city but is little known outside Scandinavia (indeed, one might say outside Finland). But now it´s on all the media´s lists of best places to visit in 2026, and coverage is rolling in. Why?…"
"Well, it's official> the Sagrada Familia is the world´s tallest church, and it´s not even done yet - that´s coming in ´26, which also just so happens to be the 100th anniversary of the death of its architect, Antoni Gaudí, and the cultural powers…"
"CNN recently wrote up the most notorious aspect of Maho Beach: the fact that it´s right at the end of the airport runway, so you get planes taking off an landing seemingly mere feet over the sands. Yep, it´s certainly an experience, both on the…"
"North America boasts an embarassment of riches when it comes to guest ranches - so much so that it´s a little bewildering. So leave it to Lonely Planet to break it down for us tenderfoots - including how/when to book, what to expect, and…"
"In an age of soulless movieplexes, here and there a few old-time movie houses survive which capture the grandeur of a bygone era, and catching a flick there can make a great addition to your travels! https://www.atlasobscura.com/lists/movie-palaces"

Hi, Ed, Medear. No, not in Germany. Long story. Fortunately, I canceled out in time to get a full refund. Have been corresponding with David Appell about an SATW Editor's Council trip to Cuba. It would be great if we could plan this before the flood gates open to everyone, which I'm truy hoping is inevitable. Any suggestions or facilitating would be great. Never hurts to ask for details.
Oh Ed, I suspect you are a pretty smart man! You are absolutely correct. PC is beatuiful in the summer. We had a very wet spring so things are exceptionally green and flourishing this year!
Hey Ed! Thanks for the welcome! One of the advantages of a small (24') boat, is the flexibility. It's currently on the Bellingham/Puget Sound side of the state, but will be relocating for a couple of months to Lake Chelan so we can access our cabin through the summer. Escorting travel writers is the favorite past time of the Rahm-dezvous....so if you're in the area, look me up!
Hope you're having a great great trip. BTW, I'm traveling to Zion and Bryce camping for memorial day. May be doing a brief spa jaunt. Stay tuned...Jessica
