The Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink is an annual two-part event benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The morning Paddle Board Race is a multi-skill level, WPA sanctioned points race that attracts hundreds of paddlers and spectators. The evening Sunset Party is hosted by BCRF Board Member Maria Baum and her husband, Larry. This unique event has become one of the hottest signature soirées on the Hamptons summer circuit.  It was founded in 2012 by Maria Baum, a mother of four, the CEO of Tracy Anderson, investor, entrepreneur, and a partner of Tutto Il Giorno restaurants. Maria was introduced to paddle boarding shortly after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She found it provided a positive outlet during her treatment and subsequent recovery. Inspired by her own passion for the sport, Maria was moved to use paddle boarding as a way to raise critical funds for lifesaving breast cancer research. Last year’s event was the most successful to date raising over $1.9mm, selling out at both the paddle race and the party. Notable attendees included Gwyneth Paltrow, Nile Rodgers, Tracy Anderson, Gabrielle Reece and Laird Hamilton.

BOOM! THE COSMIC LONGHOUSE BENEFIT

Amidst all the bangs and blow-ups in our enveloping explosive environment, we offer an artistic explosion to delight our fine LongHouse friends.

BOOM!  Our Cosmic Benefit on July 22.

Our treasured Honorees, Alexandra Munroe and Cai Guo-Qiang, are impeccable representatives of the noble and global vision of Jack Larsen’s LongHouse.

9009176261?profile=original

Alexandra’s sweeping exhibition Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World will take over the New York Guggenheim this fall. Cai Guo-Qiang’s solo exhibition October opening at the Pushkin Museum, Moscow in September is directly followed by Cai Guo-Qiang at the Prado: The Spirit of Painting in Madrid. (Since the Prado’s founding in 1819 this is will be the second solo exhibition by a living painter, following that of the late Cy Twombly).  And though Nico Muhly’s new Met-commissioned opera Marnie (yes, as in Hitchcock) debuts this year, he too will join this cross-fertile LongHouse evening.

WOW! and BOOM!  Yes, we may be treated to a delightful encounter with Cai’s explosion event on this summer evening.

At Jack’s request, you are invited to wear white to our Cosmic Evening. The LongHouse Reserve, 133 Hands Creek Rd, East Hampton, NY. 6:00pm-11:00pm
