Actually, I have had several replies to my post on Bali, which I figure is the go-to place for finding accommodation there. I may use Ask a Travel Pro for other recommendations during our 3 months in S and SE Asia.

Yes, I worked on a cruise ship and the tours were very expensive, but they are good for long journeys such as Marrakesh and Thailand where there is little time. Also in places that are kind of dangerous.
