On a recent visit to the capital of the Norwegian Arctic, I enjoyed the fairly homespun little Polarmuseet near the waterfront, and was bemused to unexpectedly find an eye-opening and quite well done temporary exhibition on homosexuality in the region in the 19th and 20th centuries. I mean, hvem visste (who knew)? "Queering Polar History" debuted in October 2022 and runs through May 2025.
