If you are planning a much needed fun-in-the-sun getaway this winter, you’re in for a treat! Solmar Hotels & Resorts is celebrating its newest luxury property’s grand opening in Los Cabos Mexico at Land’s End. In case you need a geography refresher, Land’s End is on the tip of the Baja Peninsula which juts right into the Sea of Cortes and Pacific Ocean just offshore Los Cabos, a thriving and well developed port of call for cruise ships and yacht excursions from around the world.
It is here on this peninsula’s tip encrusted with tall rock formations called grottos that the Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa is set to open in February. Ensconced by the private white sand beaches of Playa Solmar, guests will experience unobstructed ocean views from their luxury suites while having the convenience of being just a short walk from the Cabo Wabo Cantina .
Marking the fifth property owned by Solmar Resorts, Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa will welcome guests with royal gardens, old world architecture, and 2 on site restaurants that promise to be high-end local favorites:
La Roca Restaurant, the stage from which world-renowned Chef Sergio Howland will create culinary works of art based on same-day caught Baja seafood and local Mexican specialties. These dishes and their influence will support the chef’s occasional forays into spicing up exotic European dishes.
Don Luis scheduled to open later in 2011, promises Baja Mediterranean cuisine beneath the stars. Well loved on the peninsula, this food style relies on locally sourced organic ingredients, fresh environmentally responsible seafood, and free-range meats. The magic of Baja Mediterranean arises when these ingredients are artfully combined with the right fresh herbs and spices. Flavorful beyond belief!
