  • THat sounds great!!!!...Can I ring you next week to discuss?

I also want to pick your brain on something!

  • Elyse, I'm about 100 miles from my notes tonight, but there is one part of your assignment(s) that I could help you with: a hotel alternative to the KD. The hotel I'm thinking of is a very new, stylish, kosher boutique hotel with (I think) a better location as well as a more youthful vibe and lower rates. Do you want me to look that up for you?

  • Absolutely....how's next week? 403 714 1666 is my cell.
  • Thank you for the interest. I'll have to place the item with someone with a budget for writers, the traveling etc..involved expenses I need to recoup. Hope that's understandable. I have a basement full of bylines.
Sounds like a great mag, can't wait to pick it up on th newstand. Good luck with it all..MF
  • Hi Elyse, I just joined this group as well! Reading your comments...so much I agree with. I'm a freelance writer based in NYC with background in food/wine/products. I was at Food & Wine magazine for 12 years.
I just made a visit to the Storehouse a museum/ part of the brewery of Guinness which is celebrating its 250th anniversary. I got to taste a new cocktail being introduced next week at Ashford Castle called Alfred's Bellini (named after company founder Alfred Guinness), made with champagne and Guinness which was delicious. Would something on this be of interest to HotMixology?
  • Good morning, Elyse, and a hearty welcome to Go-Lo! It's great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of it, you may want to take a few minutes to join several of our many groups which you might find of particular interest, such as Media Only, California, Wine Tourism, Eating/Drinking the World, Shopping the World, Canada, Honeymoons/Weddings, Spiritual Travel, Spas, Splurges Extraordinaire, Israel, Morocco, South Africa, our French and Spanish language/culture clubs, and plenty of others covering many topics and most destinations throughout the world.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a blue bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, your travels, and your writing.

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, and readers. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). If you have any way of covering Go-Lo in any of your outlets, that would of course be greatly appreciated, and we invite you to consider blogging for us, as well (guidelines/rates available upon request).

Thanks for joining us; we wish you a great rest of 2009 and look forward to hearing more from you...!
