  • Yes, we're in Milwaukee. Cheryl from Ophir Tours in Jerusalem...Is that the office on Shlomzion street? I vaguely recall someone by that name. Sorry, but I dealt mostly with Olga the manager and the office at Givat Ram, since I was more on the corporate side of things. I see you write for Frommers? Can I say "Wow"? I could probably learn so much from you.
  • Ahlan Buzzy, I bet we probably do have some friends in common. Perhaps from my days at Ophir Tours/Peltours?

Looking forward to being in touch. My best, Ophir
  • I just ended a relationship with a zine that changed my stories to be factually incorrect. Worse, they didn't seem to care when I pointed out that they were, in fact, misleading people. I'd rather be without the income than have errors in my story. I don't want to be elitist about so-called "citizen journalists" but, I resent that they haven't done their time in the trenches with accurate reporting--and they disrespect those of us who have :(
  • Hi Buzzy,
Welcome to the iFWTWA group on Tripatini. We look forward to your comments.

Check out www.ifwtwa.org when you have a chance and look over our benefits brochure. You can determine if you feel you would benefit from our association.

If I can ever answer any questions, please let me know.

  • SLL 1983... we may even have overlapped! David Appell, the co-founder of this site, was BSFS 1984. If we get a couple more members we can start a "Traveling Hoyas" group on here! LOL
  • Hey Buzzy, thanks for friending me. You're a Hoya? I graduated from SLL with a major in Chinese. As they say, Hoya Saxa!
  • Hey Buzz! It's been a long time since Panama.
  • I was afraid of that! But on the other hand, the folks in the Chinese group somehow manage. Maybe once we have more people interested we can find a way...
  • Shalom, Buzzy! It's great to have you with us. Please have a look around and consider joining groups like Travel Journalists' Corner, Israel, Vietnam, and so forth. And would you like to help us inaugurate a Hebrew language group?

    Be well... best, Dave Appell
