A giraffe in Angola's Kissama National Park

North of Luanda along the Atlantic coast, Angola's only functioning wildlife park was famed as the continent's single largest concentration of water buffalo, but poaching during the quarter-century civil war devastated animal populations here. In recent years, however, it's been brought back from the brink.
