Zambia's Wildlife-rich South Luangwe National Park

Hippos teem in the Luangwe River and surrounding lagoons part of this amazing 3,494-suqare-mile game park of  woodlands and woodland savannahs a ten-hour drive northeast of Lusaka. It's considered the place where "walking safaris" originated, spotting hippos and species including lions, elephants, crocodiles, giraffes, Cape buffalos, and zebras.
