Yes, personally I'm not a fan of huitlacoche, but I can see where some people might be. It's adding it to a cocktail that makes me really gulp!

This is really cool! Huitlacoche is the Mexican answer to truffles. I am not sure about that as a drink, but foods made with it are delicious. I had a bloody mary made with tomato pulp and seeds, so it was very light.

I just got an email from a PR rep for a resort in Mexico proudly announcing their new margarita menu. And one of the flavors is huitlacoche, which is a kind of black fungus used in Mexico that doesn't have a strong flavor, but is a very acquired taste - and not to my own taste, certainly. Not long ago I heard of a bacon martini being served at some bar on Houston Street in NYC. What are the strangest cocktail flavors you've come across?
