  • Truer words were never spoken.
  • Great quote Ed. Thanks for sharing.
  • Perfect quote, Ed, and so true.
  • New York Travel Writers Association's new prez, Denise Mattia, pulled a great quote out of her hat at last night's meeting:  “In times of change, learners inherit the earth while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”

  • I'm doing an article on spa food. I have recipes from spas worldwide, but in the process of updating this information as my publisher want's it to feature more dishes and jpgs.

I need to tell a little about the spa, location, etc. and then feature the recipe and a jpg.

If you would like to send one or two dishes from your spa menu, please send tomdhill@noralyn.com and put Spa Recipes in the subject line.  It is fine to include the philosophy of the spa and a couple of photos.

This publication is seen by ove 1.5 million per month. The radio interview will have between 25,000 to 75,000--it varies.

    Thanks in advance.

Why Holiday Travel Makes You Dumb
New research finds that frequent travelers may suffer memory and learning problems.
  • It's a harsh land. Crippling drought, then floods. Not simply climate change, just what this lands has always done most probably.
  • Long, thin, greeny-grey - several people identified it - all different. It's amazing how people are snake experts. Don't know what it was. The whole country is tough at the moment isn't it? We had to forfeit a stop and concert in Bathurst because of floods and the train was diverted south through Bowral, Cootamundra and then up to Broken Hill.
  • Wonder what sort of snake it was. The Australian bush is a pretty tough place.
  • Great trip. We stooped in the Outback and Aboriginal clans from Maralinga and south came in to see Santa. We were crowding around and i felt something slither across my foot (thongs on too) and just thought it was a lizard. The behind me one of the teachers calmly said: "I've been bitten by a snake". And she had - there was a 'Flying' doctor on board and she was shipped to Port Augusta - couple of hours away and last heard she was ok. Much drama and the media couldn't stop talking about it. The snake went from about 40cm to two metres long! City folk!
