On a wintry December morning I woke up to a flat tyre in the north Indian city of Allahabad. Shivering to replace it I was approached by a youngish lad. Gladly accepting his "I could help you with this, if you would like, Sir" as god sent,we replaced the tyre. I thanked the young man, and tipped him. My tip was politely refused. I found out that he was a college student, son of the local temple priest.This is India.
