October fest's fun!

Many Germans own vehicles even though they have one of the best transit systems in the world. They love their vehicles!

You can be hit by a supermodel on a bike several times a day!

There are more than 150 castles in Germany! There are a few that contain aristocrats but most are hotels, restaurants and ruins.

Germany has over 300 kinds of bread!

Germans love their beer. They rank second in the world for beer consumption.If you want a beer you show your thumb. Your first finger means 2 beers. Be careful how many fingers you hold up!

It is cheap to buy beer in Germany but deciding is a different matter. There are 1,500 types of beer! They like beer so much there is even an expression: Das ist nicht mein Bier, meaning- That is none of my business!

Germans answer the phone with their surname instead of “Hello.” Weird!

Germans are nosey about their employers. They want to know if they are married and see their photos!

Schools in Germany finish at 1.pm. Kids get sent home and left alone since parents are still working. This has caused problems with kids wandering the streets.

Dogs are treated like kings. They can go anywhere. They even have their own pools!

If you are looking for an apartment beware. Un-furnished means no furniture, cabinets, closets, light fixtures or toilets! It would cost you a lot just to rent an apartment and put everything in!

Germans love paprika! However, to them this is a red pepper! They put red peppers in and on everything!

Watch out for the toilet paper. It feels like paper towel!

Germans don’t use sheets and they have big square pillows!

There is a German artist who turns dried cow manure into wall clocks and small sculptures! Wow…that is recycling!

In World War II, a German sub was sunk by a broken toilet!

Adolf Hitler helped create the Volkswagen Beetle!

The name Vaseline is the combination of the word for water-wasser and the Greek word for olive oil-elaion.
