The SkyCity Marriott located at Hong Kong International Airport is on Lantau Island, dubbed the “lungs of Hong Kong” because of its sparse population and forest areas. The culinary team at the Marriott has prepared a variety of delectable delights in honor of the Chinese Lunar New Year 2012 – the Year of the Dragon.
The chefs at the Marriott had donned their creative hats and designed culinary art pieces with dual flavors. They created a finely chiseled Coconut Pudding Chinese Dragon on a Glutinous Rice Pudding base, symbolic of the raging sea. Similar in design is the local favorite Turnip Cake with a new flair. They added Taro the Turnip Cake. The two complement each other perfectly with the light sweetness of the creamy Taro and the textured savory Turnip Cake with a bit of preserved sausages and dried prawns presented with an intricately modeled Taro Chinese Dragon emerging from the Turnip sea. These unique and special treats can also be ordered for home delivery and will be available until February 5.
Guests at the SkyCity Marriott can expect more culinary surprises at all their dining establishments including Man Ho, their high-end Cantonese restaurant and their all-day dining location, Sky City Bistro. Both offer views of the South China Sea. The Bistro features a show kitchen with buffet of items sure to tickle the palate of international travelers. Besides great accommodations and dining, the Marriott offers special golf, Disneyland, and spa packages.
