You walk here on the 5th day of the Everest base camp trek. The EBC trek is a 12-day mountain journey, but you can even make it in 9 days. You will fly out to Kathmandu from Gorakshep after the Kalapatthar and the base camp visits on a helicopter. You also will be walking here if you are on the Everest high passes trek and the Everest base camp Gokyo lakes trek.
