You start the day earlier compared to the other regular days from Lobuche during the Everest base camp trek because it is your final day of going up and reaching the base camp. It takes around 3 hours to Gorakshep from Lobuche, where you spend a night before your trek back after visiting the Kalapatthar, and another 2 to 2 hours half (one way) hike to the base camp. You arrive after Kongma La pass in Lobuche while you are on the Everest high passes trek. The trail goes to the right to Cho La pass on your way back after walking about half an hour from this place.
