The Everest climbers cross Khumbu icefall several times while they are on the Everest expedition. The Everest base camp is located very close to this icefall, where the Everest base camp, high passes, and EBC Gokyo lakes trekkers visit here with a few hour's hike from Gorakshep. There are a lot of colorful tents fixed for the climbers in spring, which make it like a mini-tented city in the mountain.
