Cockburn Town, capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands

Founded by salt collectors in 1681 roughly in the middle of Grand Turk island, this charming, laid-back settlement with a population of around 3,700 is known for its narrow streets, street lamps, and 18th- and 19th-century Bermudian architecture.
