The mountain views and sunrises/sunsets can indeed be magnificent, making Nagarkot a great place for photography. The skies are often very clear in the mornings and evenings. You can see Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Jugal, and Everest Himalayan ranges from this vantage viewpoint. About an hour and a half drive from Kathmandu takes you to this place and you can hike to Changunarayan after enjoying the views. Trekkers during the Chisapani Nagarkot trek also reach here.
