Grenada's Fort George

Overlooking capital St. George's, it dates back to 1705, during the period of French colonization which lasted from 1649 to 1762, when it was conquered by the British.Though these days it's the headquarters of the national police, visitors can also come to explore the barracks, gunpowder magazine, firing galleries, and dark defensive tunnels, among other things. Then of course there are the sweeping view over the city, surrounding countryside, and Caribbean Sea.
