"Maralyn,
Just let me know if you happen upon a congenial group of non-journalists you would like to escort.
I know the journalists travel usually in trade for a well placed article.

Maralyn,
We always have requests from journalists and many are in your situation. However, if you can put together a group of 10 or more journalists or other travelers, we can arrange to have you included as the tour leader. We would also…"

Thank you for the kind compliment. Please let me know if I can ever help you with information on India or Israel as they are my "pet" destinations.

It is easy for me to put together a group of 10 to 30 journalists that write about the destination. But they all expect the same as I do. We write the articles in turn for the trip. That is why, in general, we work with tourism bureaus rather than tour company. There has been one exception, and that is where the tour company got about $100 pp for their part.
At this point, my commitment is to IFWTWA and its members as well as the outlets that I write. Maybe in a few years, I'll consider being a group leader for the traveler. However, I doubt it as I enjoy traveling with journalists.
I've been to Israel twice, even though it has been 10 years. However, India is on my list. Unfortunately, the only way I will get there is part of a media trip or if their is a meeting planning congress there as I write for several different markets.
One of my outlets wants luxury and upscale incentive destinations. I know India fits the bill with some of what I see projected, however, out of range cost wise for journalists on their own.
It certainly appears to be a beautiful country. I would love to put together a hosted IFWTWA program there. If you ever hear of any tourist boards willing, I could supply some exceptional journalists who focus on food and travel.
