A Lusaka curiosity: the Oliver Tambo Heritage House

This rather plain, unassuming building is a curiosity because it has nothing directly to do with Zambian culture or history per se, but rather was the safe house where the president of South Africa´s African National Congress, outlawed under the old apartheid régime, lived in exile from 1967 to 1991. Opened to the public since 2017, it houses a museum about Tambo´s life and legacy as well as the struggle against apartheid.
