One of my favorite buildings in Norway´s capital - incredibly evocative of medieval Scandinavia - is the 13th-century Gol Stave Church, transplanted from the countryside a bit north of Oslo. It´s one of 160 structures ranging from the Middle Ages through the 19th century at this open-air museum, which is one of the world´s biggest and oldest (1901) and like Kon-Tiki and other museums located on the Bogdøy peninsula a few minutes from downtow Oslo.
