Ethiopia's Palace of Emperor Fasilides

In honor of February’s Black History Month in the USA, MSN’s Travel Noire channel put together a list of six sub-Saharan landmarks of remarkable black African achievements - and thought the churches of Lalibela are of course Ethiopia’s most famous claim to fame, this pieces cites the Fasil Ghebbi, the fortress-palace of 17th-century Emperor Fasilides in the city of Gondar, in the north of the country an hour-and-a-half flight from Addis Ababa. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it became known for its architecture, with seven churches and seven bridges, and dates back to the era when Ethiopia was a great empire in northeast Africa between the 17th and 18th centuries.  https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/tripideas/beyond-the-pyramids-of-egypt-6-african-sites-that-are-worthy-of-a-mention/ar-AAT1gKO
