These islands are a prime bucket lister for divers, with some of the world’s longest barrier reef, more than 1,200 species of fish, and several hundred types of flower-like soft corals and sponges. Top sites include Great Astrolabe Reef; Vanua Levu´s Namena Marine Reserve; and Rainbow Reef off Kadavu island between Vanua Levu and Taveuni, Bligh Water between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, and the Shark Reef Marine Reserve on Beqa, off Viti Levu.
