A 12-acre spread founded by the French painter and illustrator Jacques Majorelle in 1923 and bought/renovated/lived in from 1980 to 2008 by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé, it´s a beautiful stretch of native flora interspersed with houses, gates, and other structures painted a beautiful blue; here there´s also a museum devoted to YSL and another to Berber culture. So of course we brought along our blue Touareg head wrappings, bought the day before in the souk of the medina.
