A night view of medina´s huge, famous square, whose origins date back to the city´s founding in the late 11th century. Day and night, it´s a mixture of market stalls selling everything from produce to souvenirs; stalls and sit-down eateries offering tasty Moroccan fare; and various and sundry performers from musicians to snake charmers. It´s also cool to grab a bite or drink at terrace seat at one of the restaurants ringing the square.
