Barbuda´s pink-sand strands

Bermuda may be famous for its pink sand beaches - their hue derived from crushed red shells of tiny foraminifera organisms mixed with white sand - but their are several in the Caribbean, too, including here. The most famous is 17-Mile Beach, which  separates the Codrington Lagoon from the sea along Barbuda's west coast (the island´s main town Codrington is also on this lagoon). Best for photos in the morning and late afternoon, when the pinkness is at its most vibrant - and keep in mind there are no vendors, nor shade.
