For a look at traditional local culture and lifestyles, check out this small, 29-year-old Museum Etnográfico da Praia, housed in a 19th-century building in a historical district of the archipelago´s capital Praia known as the Plateau, and displaying artifacts including furniture, pottery, clothing, musical instruments, work tools, and more, along with some items salvaged from shipwrecks.
