Our toutou (pup) Papito does Paris

When we moved to Spain in early 2020, we dreamed of being able to travel Europe almost at will and especially with our rat terrier mix Papito. Now that travel is back after a year lost to the pandemic, we just made a great start in la Ville Lumière! Check out my recent Facebook post.

Seine cruises/ballroom dancing cited in 'Romantic Valentine's Day Activities In/Near 26 Iberia Destinations'

Sure, going out for an intimate dinner à deux is pretty much everyone's default on this day for lovers. But to make Valentine's Day extra special, seek out an experience that will make it truly memorable for years to come. High and low, on land and water, laid-back and high-adrenaline; simple and elaborate; cheap and pricey - there's something here for every couple! read post

Paris one of '7 Eggstraordinary Easter Spots in Europe'

As the cradle of Christianity, the Old Continent’s history with Easter is millennia old. And though recently it has evolved from a merely religious observance to an secular cultural (even pop cultural) phenomenon, the mix of elaborate religious pageantry and modern developments like bunnies, chicks, and Easter eggs is quite something to experience during Easter week. Here are a half dozen of my favorites: read post

  • Bonjour, tout le monde!

Je voudrais savoir s'il y a des membres qui travaillent avec un hotel ou faissent les relations publiques avec un agence avec plusieurs clients qui sont hotels et restaurants?

    Here's the scoop en Anglais.

I will be traveling to Bordeaux from the 3-8 of September for Intermezzo and a couple of my beverage industry trades.  I would like to look into extending my stay a few days beyond the press trip in Paris as I think I can get some interesting material.  I would like to find out if there are  hotels who can extend complimentary rooms on assignment (I can provide the letters of assignment).  If it turns out to be a short stay, and hotels can't offer comped rooms, I am still interested in media rates as well as reviewing a couple of hotel or independent restaurants with very inventive sommeliers and interesting wine from the Bordeaux region, so it will tie in with the main features I am doing that focus on Bordeaux's wine and influences on other regions of France.

Let me know your thoughts.  If I secure extra days in Paris, I will inform the people booking flights to France from L.A.

I did try Tourism France, but they only have resources to help top tier writers (major national magazines and papers), so I am hoping to find some independent PR companies and hotel chains.

    All the best, Elyse

  • I November I spent a weekend in Paris with some friends. Although the weather wasn't great, we had an amazing time and got to see pretty much all of the big sites. I'd liek to share with you our itinerary, so that you may use it ohn your trip. If you like :-)

  • Donna  -  laughing.  Guess I've been a gypsy for way too long to let a waiter (who is TRYING to do his job by speaking English) cause me to want to slap him.   Taxi drivers are something else...but they tend to look stronger than I.
