    Last week I took the family out to Musso and Frank, one of Hollywood's last classic restaurants, and had an outstanding martini.     I'm with you, David.

    The Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant, Nantucket, serves a lobster bloody Mary that has quite a chunk of lobster in it. I haven't had it, but it looks quite good. I mean, lobster, tomato, vodka -- what could be bad?

    Yes, personally I'm not a fan of huitlacoche, but I can see where some people might be. It's adding it to a cocktail that makes me really gulp!

    This is really cool!  Huitlacoche is the Mexican answer to truffles.  I am not sure about that as a drink, but foods made with it are delicious.  I had a bloody mary made with tomato pulp and seeds, so it was very light.

    I just got an email from a PR rep for a resort in Mexico proudly announcing their new margarita menu. And one of the flavors is huitlacoche, which is a kind of black fungus used in Mexico that doesn't have a strong flavor, but is a very acquired taste - and not to my own taste, certainly. Not long ago I heard of a bacon martini being served at some bar on Houston Street in NYC.  What are the strangest cocktail flavors you've come across?
