  • Images of Krakow, a beautiful and captivating city, rich in culture and history.

Nowa Huta, the former model Stalinist city and now the easternmost district of Krakow, provides fascinating reminders of communist rule. For a tour with a difference, Crazy Guides can show you around in an old Trabant - or "trabbie"!

The nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site - the chapel of St. Kinga carved from the salt far below ground is stunningly beautiful (and can apparently be booked for weddings).

Add to this the friendly people, a buzzing nightlife and great food, and its a city that I cannot wait to visit again. Try a zapiekanka (a very long halved baked baguette topped with mushrooms and melted cheese or other toppings) - it's a must-do experience!!

If you think "exposure" and "cross-links" are of any use to any of you, please let me know. I have run photo essays on ConsumerTraveler.com, mainly on weekends. You can expect somewhere in the mid-hundreds of pageviews with airline executives and pr folk as well as frequent travelers.

  • Beautiful and special place, the Antrim Coast.

  • Hi and thanks Lynn. I made a very bad typo, sorry...it is the Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland (not Island!) UK. And thanks to you too Charlie...I can relate to those early misty mornings!
  • Stunning, ethereal images. Where is this Antrim Coast of Northern Island?
  • Exceptional photographs. I remember many early misty mornings and one sunny sunrise on the Giants Causway photographing the changing light and seas.
  • Photographs from the hauntingly beautiful Antrim Coast of Northern Island. The Giants Causeway is other-worldly at dusk, and the coastline looks ever-more dramatic under stormy skies. Click here to view the image collection: Antrim Coast Ireland gallery
