  • Won't be gulet's where I'm going to - Hartlepool (north east England) is holding the Tall Ships Race Event in ten days time - anyone else be there on the media boat?
  • Gullets are like comfortable sailboats - about twice as wide - that rarely use sail; it's easier to putter around and the wind currents can be tricky along Turkey's coast.
  • Evelyn, compared with a gullet, a felucca is a sleek world-class racing boat.
Good to see you today. I'm impressed at how alert you looked after that red-eye.
  • Sounds something like an Egyptian felucca, except those don't have cabins below.
  • Funny, my daughter just arrived back in the U.S. a few hours ago from Turkey, and raved about her cruise. Said we absolutely should charter a gulet with a group of friends. So, this Sailing Turkey offer you mention, Ed, is enticing. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  • When we did that in the late 90s, it was a gullet. They are a great way to get around the coastline. Some gullets are larger and some are smaller, but the one we were on and the others we saw were from the size Ed described to twice that size. But the very few any larger.
  • Thanks!
