Dyke civilization in Vietnam

Control of the rivers has been crucial to the Vietnamese people’s hard-won ability to survive and thrive in a sometimes unforgiving land. The construction of dykes along rivers is without a doubt one of the most important steps in the emergence of the Vietnamese people.

Before they built dykes, the Viet people had lived as hunters and collectors of wild fruits in hilly areas such as the present-day Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa provinces.

A funny thing called christmas

I was sitting in my t-shirt in Federation square, just enjoying the beautiful blue sky and the warm sun. I saw people who just finished their christmas shopping or were leaving the many different art galleries around Federation Square. Christmas back home before I was addicted to travel and when I really loved ugly sweaters

That was exactly one year ago. This year I'm back in Holland again. Happy to be back seeyin

Sierra Leone: Poor But Brimming With Potential

9008746501?profile=original
