Everyone must expect something before traveling anywhere. Like other trekkers, you might also have some expectations during the EBC Trek in Nepal. At the beginning of the trip, you fly on a small twin-otter or Dornier aircraft to Lukla from Kathmandu or Ramechhap (Manthali) with a sensational mountain flight.

Once you land at the Lukla airport, you will know the rest of the Trekking crew besides the guide, who flies with you. After a short walking preparation at Lukla, you walk to Phakding for about three hours through the traditional Sherpa villages with stunning views of some snow-capped mountain peaks.

The second day is pretty tough because of the long ascent to Namche Bazaar (3440m). You enter the Sagarmatha National Park from Jorsalle today, seeing beautiful nature, birds, and animals. You have the first altitude practice, rest in Namche Bazaar, and hike to the Hotel Everest View during the Trek to Everest Base Camp. You see magnificent views of the high mountains every moment after you cross Namche Bazaar. You have the opportunity to visit the ancient historical Buddhist Monastery on Tengboche Hill and make offerings with the Monks. Trekking to Everest Base Camp: What sorts of difficulties may you face?

There can be several physical and technical difficulties before and during Trekking to Everest Base Camp. The first challenge is the weather conditions to fly to Lukla, so the weather can affect regular flights often. The flights can be delayed or canceled sometimes, even in the high seasons. Travel with a few extra days for these types of happenings. There are some alternate options to get into Lukla, which you may take.
