Taj Mahal Sunrise Package With Exclusive Offer

The Taj Mahal narrates the legend and bond of chemistry between two lovers, who were one soul in two bodies. The best time to visit is either sunrise or sunset (the best lighting for photographs and the advantage of fewer crowds). It's closed on Fridays and the monument is generally less crowded early morning in comparison to the evening. The Taj Mahal Sunrise Trip is one’s many 'To-visit-places before kicking the Bucket' list.

Situated in Agra and recognized as one of the most photographed edifices in the world, one gets to listen to a lot of opinions about the Taj Mahal from foreign travellers who have visited it earlier: it's overwhelming experience, it's become yellowish and amplified its natural beauty. Some will also tell you that the other UNESCO World Heritage sites in Agra are better.

So with that background, and sufficient reading on multiple blogs and trip advisors, I booked a trip to Agra. An overnight train from Delhi would bring us to reach Agra Cantonment railway Station (surprisingly on time) at 4:45 am, early morning. There is a pre-paid auto and taxi stand outside the station with printed rates decided by the government.

We paid INR 1800 for an AC Sedan car for eight hours (Parking, driver allowances and Toll charges were extra). I could have managed to get one for a few hundred less should I have gone outside the railway station and haggled, but we were in no mood for that because my priority was to reach the Taj Mahal before sunrise. I sat in the hired cab and headed straight for the Taj Mahal.

We were recommended the western gate because it was nearest to the Agra Cantt railway station. From the parking, the local government operate electric vehicles for tourists to mitigate the adverse effects of air pollution but I preferred five minutes of walking to enjoy the garden and watching monkeys doing aerobics on trees.

One Should Not Miss Amazing Experience Of Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour

The Taj Mahal itself is truly a wonderful and majestic edifice. As you take your time inside its premises, taking photos and listening narration of your tour guide, you start to gain a better understanding of the monument and appreciate it much better than any layperson just walking around, or worse listening to a local tour guide. Most visitors would be out after the photos and the visit to the actual structure, but not with this everlasting sweet experience.

The white shoe covers are to be worn before stepping onto the main mausoleum (the alternative is taking off your shoes). Don't presume that the Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour is overrated, but also don't go in with unreal expectations. Just take in the sights and sounds and allow them to overwhelm your thoughts and imaginations.

Only then would you walk away with a great feeling of having visited such an enchanting building? Taj Mahal with an expert tour guide who would brief you about the Agra city, about the influence and history of the mighty Mughal rulers and other places to visit in Agra. The early morning visit to this magnificent edifice would certainly leave you hungry so you can taste the flavour of Mughal food in a local restaurant.

Agra is famous for marble inlay artefacts and other local crafts. So if you want to look for any souvenirs for your family and friends, you can visit the local Agra craft centre. After enjoying the Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour, drive to visit another famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ‘Agra Fort’ popularly known as ‘Red Fort’ because it is made up of red sandstone.

Here you can experience a combination of buildings and palaces where the king and queen rest in peace perpetually. From here, drive back to Agra railway station to catch the train back to Delhi. If you have a late evening train then you can annex nearby excursions in your trip.
