Haridwar is a well-known city in Uttarakhand, famous for its temples and the holy River Ganga. People visit throughout the year, but the best time to go is from October to April. The weather during these months is pleasant, which makes walking around the ghats, attending the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, and visiting temples easier.
In winter (November to February), the air is cool and comfortable, suitable for sightseeing and darshan. Many visitors also come during festivals like Makar Sankranti
