Can we go to Leh Ladakh by train?

You cannot travel directly to Leh by train, as there are no railway stations in Ladakh. The nearest major railheads are Jammu Tawi (about 700 km away) and Chandigarh (about 697 km away). From there, you must complete the journey to Leh by road (via bus, taxi, or rented vehicle.

Ladakh doesn’t have a direct train connection, but you can travel by train and then by road. Trains to these stations are frequent and well-connected to major cities in India.
