Planning a Holi trip to Mathura from Delhi is easier than most people think. If you plan it the right way.

 

First, fix your date. Holi 2026 falls on 4th March. But Vrindavan celebrations start 5–7 days earlier with Lathmar Holi and Phoolon Wali Holi. So, plan accordingly based on what your group wants to experience.

 

Start early from Delhi, ideally by 5 AM. Mathura is 145 km away and Holi day traffic builds up fast after 8 AM. Cover Vrindavan first, then Mathura Dwarkadheesh Temple by afternoon.
