October is one of the best months to trek to Everest Base Camp. It remains in the autumn season, which comes right after the monsoon season. Heavy monsoon rainfall clears all haze and makes the weather bright. You can see magnificent mountain views in October in the Everest Region.

The Everest Base Camp trek begins with a short scenic flight to Lukla, which is located at a high mountain elevation. The weather in Lukla is not always stable, but October offers the best weather conditions to fly to Lukla to start the trek to Everest Base Camp.

You follow the regular trekking itinerary up to the base camp and Kala Patthar, and then fly out on a helicopter directly to Kathmandu from Gorakshep in October.
