Ascending Mera Peak 6476 Meters

The 19-day Mera Peak Climbing Itinerary takes you to Nepal's highest trekking peak at 6476 meters. In the Hinku Valley in the Everest Region, Merab Peak is a popular climbing peak with an easy route. Mera Peak is a favorite of many climbers who come to Nepal in preparation to climb Mount Everest or any of the other major peaks in the Khumbu Region. A rare chance to visit Mera Peak lies in the seldom-visited Hinku Valley. A secluded trail leads to a wild and pristine area with very few human settlements. In most cases, you will stay in tea houses located in isolated kharkas or yak herders' summer camps. Your summit push begins after you spend the night at Mera High Camp (5,780m). It is a relatively straightforward route with little technical climbing. Your ascent will be difficult only because of thin mountain air and freezing temperatures. The Himalayas are stunning from the summit. The summit of Everest is close to several peaks with altitudes above 8,000 meters. The safety of team members is paramount and given the highest priority during treks and climbs. Mera Peak Climbing is led by a local sherpa climbing guide with 15 years of experience.

Own your style of climbing Mera Peak
There are only a few thrilling adventures in the world that can take you to one of the remotest and highest corners of the earth, such as the Mera Peak Climbing Itinerary. The Hinku valley of Makalu Barun national park, the valley is home to a variety of rare Himalayan plants and animals. Even during peak season, this is one of the few trails in the Less crowded Khumbu. An experienced Sherpa guide will lead the team. Lukla is the Sherpa town where your Mera Peak adventure begins. Among the most extreme flying experiences in the world are flights over tall mountains and precipitous cliffs. After landing on a narrow strip of land, your trek begins. Chutok, a small Sherpa village near Lukla, is your first stop. You will travel through rhododendron forests, pine forests, and gurgling rivers for the next few days. You have the trail mostly to yourself since there are very few people on it. Have fun! Enjoy nature without being disturbed. After crossing Col Khari La, a mountain pass that lies between Khumbu and Hinku valleys, you walk over to Hinku Valley. There are few villages in Hinku Valley, which are still untouched and wild. Here, there are only a few scattered teahouses, unlike other parts of the lower Khumbu. Yak herders build their summer camps in these uninhabited areas known as "kharkas." Far from civilization, teahouses along the routes offer only basic services - shelter, food, communal toilets, and a warm bed. Traveling in luxury and creature comforts is not for you. It's time to take your adventure to the next level: Once you reach Khare, you will spend an extra day acclimatizing and attending pre-climb training. Before retiring, your gear and equipment will be checked. After spending the night at Mera High Camp, you begin your summit push. Each climber will sleep in a single tent. The local crew will prepare the food. Nutritious and healthy meals will be provided. The final ascent will take place at 1 AM when the weather is stable and less windy. Main-ropes will be used to secure the group and the members will walk in a single file. There are no technical sections most of the way, so it's a gradual ascent. At this altitude, the air is very thin, so you may feel out of breath and wheezy. The final 40-50 meters to the summit are the most challenging. To reach the summit of Mera Peak, we use a fixed rope and jumars. Five of the 14 eight-thousanders can be seen from the summit as well as the trail leading to it, including Everest (8848 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Cho Oyu (8,188 m), and Makalu (8,485 m). Celebrate your victory with your teammates once you reach the summit. Congratulations! Yes, you did what you set out to do, and it is a great moment for you. Take one last look at the views before heading home. By crossing the Zatrwa La, you return to Lukla via Khare. After Lukla, you fly back to Kathmandu, where your trip ends.
