Also known as Port Stanley, this town has a population of just over 2,200 (out of a total population of the islands of 3,790) was founded in 1843 and is home to most of the Falklands´ lodgings, restaurants, pubs, and manmade landmarks/attractions, including the Historic Dockyards Museum, the Whalebone Arch, the Christ Church Cathedral, St. Mary´s Church, and several monuments/memorials.
