Rhabdotorrhinus waldeni, also known as the rufous headed hornbill, is found on the islands of Negros and Panay, located around the middle of the Philippine archipelago. It's a rare and prized find for birders, as it's listed as critically endangered, with a remainng population of just 1,000 to 2,500 (though this is starting to recover thanks to conservation and anti-poaching efforts).
