You walk for a short time on the snow before the summit of the Cho La pass during the Everest base camp Gokyo lakes trek. The Cho La connects two different treks Everest base camp and the Gokyo lakes. You also cross the biggest glacier (Ngozumpa) in the Khumbu region after you descend to Thangnak and have lunch. You cross this hill also if you are on the Everest high passes trek before going for Renjo La from Gokyo valley.
