You need to trek to the Everest base camp Gokyo lakes, Gokyo valley, Everest high passes, or Renjo La to see tranquil Gokyo lakes and amazing mountain views from Gokyo Ri. The lakes start freezing in winter from January, so September to December is the best time to see unfrozen Gokyo lakes. But, spring also offers an amazing view of the Everest Himalayas. You can trek in summer to the Gokyo valley if you want to see greenery and beautiful lakes, but the mountains might not be clear because of lots of rain and clouds.
