There are lots of waterfalls along the way to the Everest base camp in the lower region. the base camp trip is a 12-day mountain journey from Kathmandu to Kathmandu, but you can make it shorter if you do not have enough time to complete the regular trekking itinerary. You stay with a classic EBC trek itinerary up to Kalapatthar and base camp, and then fly out to Kathmandu direct on a helicopter from Gorakshep, which is a 9-day trip. If you have three more days with the regular base camp trekking itinerary, I suggest going over Cho La to see Gokyo lakes and Gokyo Ri, but it is an adventure high pass.
