The Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar are popular trekking destinations for those who are doing the Everest Base Camp trek. The trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep is generally considered one of the most challenging parts of the trek, due to the high altitude and rugged terrain. It's important to acclimate properly and take it slow to avoid altitude sickness. Trekking over the Cho La pass offers stunning mountain views and other natural beauties, which you might not feel just from the base camp.
If you get tired and do not like to trek back on the same trail, you can directly fly out to Kathmandu. You will find people to join the helicopter, so you do not need to charter yourself. Or, If you traveling to Nepal for a very short time, you can visit the base camp with a joining helicopter tour.
