Venezuela´s iconic Angel Falls

Dropping 3,212 feet from a mesa into verdant jungle, Salto Ángel is the world´s highest unterrupted waterfalls, found way down south in Bolívar state and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Canaima National Park. It remains one of the country´s most popular tourist attractions, with river trips to the base of the falls, but it takes a bit of doing to get down here, flying from Caracas to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolivar, then onward to the town of Canaima. The best way to do it is to book a tour, generally running three days/two nights.
